Description
Aromasine is indicated in the adjuvant treatment of early-stage invasive breast cancer expressing estrogen receptors, in postmenopausal women, following initial adjuvant treatment of 2-3 years with tamoxifen. Aromasine is indicated for the treatment of advanced breast cancer in naturally or artificially menopausal women after failure of antiestrogen therapy.
The recommended dose of Aromasine is 1 25 mg tablet taken once a day, preferably after a meal.
In patients with early-stage breast cancer, treatment with Aromasine should be continued for a total of five years of sequential adjuvant hormone therapy (tamoxifen followed by Aromasine). It will be suspended in the event of tumor relapse.
